Irresistibly soft rolls filled with savory roasted beef and melted cheese, brushed with a buttery garlic topping—perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 12 cocktail rolls or slider buns
  • 300 g (10 oz) roasted beef, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices cheddar, Swiss, or provolone cheese (halved)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease or line a baking dish.
  2. Slice the cocktail rolls in half horizontally without separating.
  3. Spread mayonnaise and mustard inside the rolls if using, then layer roasted beef and cheese.
  4. Close the rolls and arrange them snugly in the baking dish.
  5. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley in a small bowl.
  6. Brush the butter mixture over the rolls and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 12 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 8 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, then pull apart and serve warm.

Notes

Use thin-sliced deli roast beef for easy layering and cover with foil to keep the rolls soft. Avoid overbaking to prevent drying out. Caramelized onions can be added for extra flavor.
