- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and trim the green beans, ensuring they are dry.
- Toss the beans in a mixing bowl with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the green beans on the baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the beans and return to the oven for an additional 2–3 minutes until melted and golden.
- Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
