Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel chips
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in each egg one at a time followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel chips and chocolate chips (if using) gently.
  7. Scoop dollops of dough onto your baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle the tops with flaky sea salt.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
