- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel chips
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
- ½ tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in each egg one at a time followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the caramel chips and chocolate chips (if using) gently.
- Scoop dollops of dough onto your baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle the tops with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Best served with vanilla ice cream or a glass of cold milk. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
