Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or smoked)
  • 4 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Toss in the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Remove the sausage from its casing, break it into the skillet, and cook until browned and fully cooked through.
  5. Stir in the chopped cabbage and mix well.
  6. Cover the skillet and let the cabbage wilt for about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a lower-carb option, serve over greens or with roasted vegetables. A splash of hot sauce can add a kick!
