- 4 pieces Chicken Thighs
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1 piece Green Chili
- 2 tbsp Fresh Ginger
- 2 pieces Onions
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 2 tsp Ground Coriander
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 5 pieces Tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- Salt to taste
- 100 ml Water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, marinate the chicken thighs with turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a heavy pan over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the garlic, ginger, and green chili, cooking until fragrant.
- Add in the marinated chicken thighs, cooking until browned.
- Mix in the chopped tomatoes, ground cumin, ground coriander, and garam masala. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the water, cover, and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes or until tender.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and lemon juice; garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes to enhance flavors. Adjust spice levels according to taste.
