Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 piece Green Chili
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Ginger
  • 2 pieces Onions
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 2 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 5 pieces Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 100 ml Water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken thighs with turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a heavy pan over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the garlic, ginger, and green chili, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Add in the marinated chicken thighs, cooking until browned.
  5. Mix in the chopped tomatoes, ground cumin, ground coriander, and garam masala. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Pour in the water, cover, and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes or until tender.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt and lemon juice; garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes to enhance flavors. Adjust spice levels according to taste.
