Description

A one-pan meal featuring broccoli, chicken sausage, and cheesy tortellini, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs fresh broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 11 oz chicken sausage, sliced
  • 16 oz frozen cheese tortellini
  • 8 oz grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red chili flakes for a kick

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ºF.
  2. On a sheet pan, toss the broccoli with minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roast the broccoli for about 10 minutes, until it’s bright green yet still crunchy.
  4. Increase the oven temperature to 450ºF.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the roasted broccoli with sliced chicken sausage, frozen tortellini, the remaining olive oil, and half of the parmesan cheese.
  6. Prepare the sheet pan with a light coating of olive oil and pour the mixture evenly onto it.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until everything is melted and golden brown.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the dish for a minute or two at the end of cooking. Feel free to add additional vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
