- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup cocktail sauce
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a rapid boil.
- Add the prepared shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the shrimp immediately and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to halt cooking.
- Drain again after a couple of minutes and pat dry.
- Place the chilled shrimp on a platter over ice.
- Serve alongside cocktail sauce and lemon wedges.
Notes
For an impressive presentation, serve shrimp in a wide bowl on a bed of ice. Consider adding fresh herbs for garnish.
