- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ground nutmeg for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, beat the eggs until well blended.
- Add sugar, salt, and milk to the eggs and mix well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
- Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with water (water bath).
- Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
