  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk or heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Prepare your bundt pan or a 10-inch tube pan by greasing and flouring it well.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, alternating between both. Start and end with the flour. Mix on low speed until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  6. Stir in the vanilla and almond extract for a flavor boost.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in the oven for 75-85 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk (or cream), and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth. Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the glaze all over it.
