A comforting and budget-friendly Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole that combines creamy goodness with crispy fried onions.
Ingredients

- 3 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup vegetable stock
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 6 oz can of fried onions (divided)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In your slow cooker, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, vegetable stock, heavy cream (or milk), minced garlic, butter, flour, Worcestershire sauce, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Gently stir in the drained green beans and half of the fried onions until well coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to high. Cook for 2 to 2.5 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top for extra crunch.
Notes
Feel free to swap heavy cream for whole milk for a lighter option. For a healthier version, use low-sodium soup or stock.
