- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the dish, ensuring they’re in a single layer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup of Parmesan, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Lay one slice of mozzarella on each chicken breast.
- Spread the sour cream mixture over each piece of chicken and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
