Description

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil, perfect for quick dinners or elegant gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (grated, minced, or thinly sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and add 1½ tablespoons of salt.
  2. Cook the spaghetti for 1 minute less than the package instructions.
  3. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. Prepare the garlic and olive oil in a pan over low heat, adding the garlic and red pepper flakes.
  5. Add the parsley when the pasta is almost done and stir.
  6. Combine the drained spaghetti with the oil mixture and reserved water, tossing over medium heat.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Garnish with extra parsley or parmesan and pair with a salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
