- 12 ounces spaghetti
- ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (grated, minced, or thinly sliced)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 3 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and add 1½ tablespoons of salt.
- Cook the spaghetti for 1 minute less than the package instructions.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Prepare the garlic and olive oil in a pan over low heat, adding the garlic and red pepper flakes.
- Add the parsley when the pasta is almost done and stir.
- Combine the drained spaghetti with the oil mixture and reserved water, tossing over medium heat.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Garnish with extra parsley or parmesan and pair with a salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
