Description

A fun and spooky pasta dish shaped like a brain, perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 350g dried spaghetti
  • 100g grated cheddar cheese
  • 100g mozzarella cheese
  • 30g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500g minced beef (or veggie alternative)
  • 400g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red food coloring or extra tomato sauce (optional for spooky effect)

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion for 3 minutes, then add garlic.
  3. Stir in minced beef, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato paste, then let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens. Allow it to cool slightly.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk eggs until combined.
  6. Add the cooked spaghetti, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and the cooled meat sauce mixture. Mix everything together until well combined.
  7. Grease a brain mold or bowl with some olive oil. For an extra spooky effect, smear red food coloring or sauce inside the mold.
  8. Spoon the spaghetti mixture into the mold, pressing it down firmly.
  9. Cover the mold with aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes.
  10. Once done baking, allow the dish to cool slightly. Carefully flip the mold onto a serving platter.
  11. Drizzle with tomato sauce for a bloody brain effect. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a drizzle of tomato sauce for a spooky effect or garnish with herbs and themed decorations.
