  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1/2 zucchini, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (for veggies)
  • 1 cup steamed white rice

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Toss in ground beef, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  4. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and add minced garlic, cooking for another 30 seconds.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Incorporate broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until veggies are tender-crisp.
  7. Pour in soy sauce and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  8. Serve hot steamed rice in bowls, arranging beef and veggies on top or alongside. Drizzle with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

For a creative twist, add pineapple for sweetness or use quinoa instead of rice. Adjust heat levels by modifying chili flakes.
