Description

Delightful appetizer packed with creamy cheese, savory spinach, and a hint of spice, perfect for parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but kept cold
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth. Fold in the squeezed spinach.
  2. Roll Out the Puff Pastry: On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Spread the spinach mixture evenly over the pastry.
  3. Form the Roll: Starting from the filled side, roll the pastry tightly into a log. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the log into half-inch rounds and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
  5. Cook: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed and golden. Enjoy!

Notes

These pinwheels are best served warm with a dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
