- 1 bag (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but kept cold
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth. Fold in the squeezed spinach.
- Roll Out the Puff Pastry: On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Spread the spinach mixture evenly over the pastry.
- Form the Roll: Starting from the filled side, roll the pastry tightly into a log. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the log into half-inch rounds and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
- Cook: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed and golden. Enjoy!
Notes
These pinwheels are best served warm with a dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
