A comforting Italian dish featuring pasta shells filled with a creamy ricotta and spinach mixture, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.

- 20 large pasta shells
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups fresh or frozen spinach (squeezed dry if using frozen)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish and cover them with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra creaminess, add cream cheese to the filling or sprinkle fresh basil on top before serving.
