Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the noodles according to package instructions. Once done, drain them and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add sliced beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. In a bowl, mix together beef broth, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and bring to a simmer.
  7. Let the sauce thicken slightly for about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, coating them evenly with the sauce.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For added crunch, garnish with sesame seeds or crushed peanuts. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
