Description
A delightful dish combining tender chicken thighs with a flavorful sauce served over fluffy jasmine rice, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create a flavorful sauce.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the chicken thighs. Cook until nicely browned and fully cooked through, approximately 6-7 minutes on each side.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the chicken to become sticky and fully coated.
- Serve the sticky chicken over the cooked jasmine rice, garnishing with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Consider using fresh ginger and garlic for the best taste.
