Description

A quick and delicious weeknight meal featuring tender chicken in a sticky garlic sauce, served with noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes in a bowl to make the sauce.
  2. Coat chicken pieces with cornstarch evenly.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Prepare noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  7. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with the chicken and sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving hot.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Marinating chicken in the sauce enhances flavor.
