- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut mold pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and pureed strawberries until well combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the donut mold, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool slightly before removing them from the pan. Serve and enjoy!
