Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- Fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the softened cream cheese until you achieve a uniform dough.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring enough space for spreading.
- Create a small indentation in the center of each cookie, filling it with about a teaspoon of strawberry jam.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving and enjoy!
