  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 3/4 teaspoon table salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (7-ounce) container plain Greek yogurt
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. Rub the chicken with salt, pepper, and lime juice in a mixing bowl. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with minced garlic, ginger, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and cayenne until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring the pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for anywhere from 6 hours to a full day.
  4. When ready to cook, preheat your broiler or oven to 450°F (high).
  5. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Place the marinated chicken on the lined sheet without overlapping.
  6. Broil the chicken for approximately 15-20 minutes until the top is dry with some charred edges.
  7. Turn the chicken pieces over and continue broiling for another 10 minutes or until fully cooked through.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, swap Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt. Adjust the cayenne for spice levels according to your preference.
