Description
A comforting, one-pan meal featuring tender chicken breasts in a buttery, sweet, and smoky sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Butter Mixture: In a small mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and set it aside.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Deglaze the Pan: In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth to deglaze by scraping up any flavorful brown bits stuck to the bottom.
- Create the Sauce: Stir in the prepared butter mixture and cook until it has melted and combined smoothly.
- Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños to the butter sauce. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
