  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A warm and comforting classic stuffing recipe perfect for your Thanksgiving celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed (day-old bread works great!)
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth (use low-sodium for a healthier option)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sage, dried
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, dried
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add diced celery and onion, sautéing until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Gradually pour in the broth, stirring until the bread is evenly moistened.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is crispy and golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider using quality bread such as French loaf or sourdough. You can also mix in chopped nuts, fruits, or sausage for variations.
