Description

A cozy hug in a mug, this creamy Vanilla Chai Tea Latte blends black tea, aromatic spices, and milk for a comforting beverage.


Ingredients

  • 2 Black tea bags
  • ¾ cup Water
  • 1 cup Milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger
  • ½ teaspoon Cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon Cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • Brown sugar or honey, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, tea bags, and spices. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Turn off heat and remove tea bags, letting the mixture steep for another 5 minutes.
  3. In a separate saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Use a frother or whisk to create foam in the milk.
  5. Strain the tea mixture into a mug, stir in vanilla extract and sweetener, then pour the frothed milk over the top.

Notes

Serve with fresh scones or spiced bread. Best consumed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
