Description

 - 1 cup sugar
 - 1/4 cup water
 - 1 tablespoon fresh lavender flowers (or 1 teaspoon dried)
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 - 1/2 teaspoon pectin (optional for thicker jam)
 
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and water over medium heat.
 - Stir gently until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture starts to bubble.
 - Add lavender flowers, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle boil.
 - Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens slightly.
 - If using, stir in the pectin and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
 - Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
 - Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
 - Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or process in a water bath for longer storage.
 
Notes
Use fresh, ripe blackberries for the best flavor. Adjust sugar to your sweetness preference.
