Description
A simple yet decadent beef chuck roast that offers an explosion of flavors with minimal effort, perfect for cozy family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 boneless beef chuck roast (about 4 pounds)
- Salt (to generously season)
- Pepper (to generously season)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Season the roast generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Add the roast to a baking dish, cover it, and let it bake for 1 hour per pound of meat.
- After baking, remove the roast from the oven and shred it into large chunks using two forks. If it’s not pulling apart easily, return it to the oven for another 30 minutes.
- Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (218°C) and toss the shredded pieces in the rendered fat from the roast.
- Bake uncovered for an additional 25 minutes until you see some beautifully crispy, caramelized edges.
- Serve and ENJOY!
Notes
For additional flavor, consider adding garlic powder or herbs. Searing the roast before baking can enhance the flavor.
