Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz each)
  • 4 cups frozen green beans
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1½ cups French-fried onions, divided
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray the crockpot insert with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Add frozen green beans and shredded cheddar cheese (if using), and mix thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the crockpot, spreading it evenly.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.
  6. Uncover the crockpot and sprinkle remaining fried onions over the top.
  7. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on LOW or WARM until onions are golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm straight from the crockpot.

Notes

Can substitute cream of mushroom soup for a homemade version for a fresher flavor. Optional creative twists include using cream of chicken or different cheeses.
