Description

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Peel (if desired) and cut the apples into fry-like sticks. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations: In Bowl 1, add the flour. In Bowl 2, whisk together the egg and milk. In Bowl 3, mix the panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat the apple sticks: Dredge each apple stick in the flour, dip them into the egg mixture, and then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Air fry: Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to work in batches).
  5. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7-9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking until they are golden and crispy.
  6. Enjoy: Serve warm with delicious dips like caramel sauce, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes
