Description
These Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars combine creamy cheesecake and buttery graham cracker crust with tender apples and luscious caramel—perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until evenly mixed. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish to form the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gently fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture into the crust in your baking dish.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and use a knife to swirl it into the cheesecake batter for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set.
- Once baked, let the bars cool at room temperature before refrigerating for a few hours. Cut into bars and serve chilled.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped bars for up to three months.
