Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  3. Place sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Add the browned meatballs on top of the onions.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and onion soup mix, then pour over the meatballs.
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding minced garlic and herbs like thyme or rosemary. Use low-sodium beef broth for a healthier option.
