- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 grams)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted, softened)
- 2–4 tbsp milk (adjust for desired consistency)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165°F (74°C), about 40-60 seconds, or bake it on a baking sheet in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 3-5 minutes. Whisk or sift to remove lumps and let cool.
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a mixer until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add in the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt, mixing until combined.
- Slowly add milk, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the desired consistency is reached.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Enjoy straight from the bowl or chill it slightly for a firmer texture.
