Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- With a pastry cutter or your fingertips, cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until just combined; don’t overmix.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it just a few times until it comes together, then roll it out to about an inch thick.
- Using a round cutter, cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm!
Notes
Serve with butter, gravy, or fruit preserves. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
