- 1 box of Crispix
- 1 bag of Bugles
- 1 bag of Reese’s Pieces (230g)
- 1 cup roasted and salted peanuts
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper, or grab a large roasting pan.
- In a large bowl or roasting pan, combine the Crispix, Bugles, and peanuts. Mix well.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter along with brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring it to a boil, stirring until it reaches the soft-ball stage on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the warm butter-sugar mixture over the cereal mix. Stir thoroughly until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the lined cookie sheets or keep it in the roasting pan.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Cool the mix on the sheets, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent clumping.
- Once cooled, sprinkle the Reese’s Pieces over the top and serve!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Avoid refrigeration to maintain crunch.
