  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Non-Vegetarian

Description

A comforting and creamy casserole that’s quick to prepare and loved by the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers (like Ritz)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. In another bowl, mix your crushed crackers with the melted butter, then sprinkle over the chicken mixture.
  5. Add the remaining cheddar cheese on top for that gooey goodness.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute rotisserie chicken for quicker prep or low-fat sour cream for a healthier version. Consider adding sautéed onions or a sprinkle of paprika for extra flavor.
