Description
A delightful blend of buttery pecans and decadent chocolate swirls, this Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups pecan halves
- 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Carefully prepare your pie crust by crimping the edges in a 9-inch pie pan.
- Layer the pecans evenly at the bottom of the crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the pecans, ensuring they are well coated.
- Melt the chocolate by combining chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the pie filling, using a knife to swirl it in for an artistic appearance.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the filling is set but slightly jiggles in the center. Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool completely for at least 2 hours before slicing.
