  • Total Time: 80 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A delightful blend of buttery pecans and decadent chocolate swirls, this Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Carefully prepare your pie crust by crimping the edges in a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. Layer the pecans evenly at the bottom of the crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the filling over the pecans, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Melt the chocolate by combining chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the pie filling, using a knife to swirl it in for an artistic appearance.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the filling is set but slightly jiggles in the center. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool completely for at least 2 hours before slicing.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days, or freeze for longer storage.
